First is always top position amoung all the ranks, be it getting first position on in your class for studies or getting first position in sport events,etc... Of course when you get the top position in whatever things you are going for, you will feel a sense of achievement, a sense of pride. Thus it is very meaningful to go for whatever things that we want in life and excel in them. Though winning is very important in life, it isn't everything. Also, winning once, doesn't mean you will win it forever. I remembered 4 years ago, my favourite soccer country Italy won their 4th world cup trophy by beating France after the penalty shoot-out. However 4 years later, they went from hero to zero...

Why did this thing happened? I believe they didn't put in extra efforts and wisdom to defend their no 1 tittle. As such, they lost their 1st position even before going to second round. Thus it is very important for all of us not to take our victories for granted but keep on improving on them and defend them to the best of our abilities. Spain is the world soccer champion this year, but will they defend their tittle well 4 years later, it really depend on how much they treasure their stronghold.

First is also a very important mildstone of our life. Do you remember the first time you have a gf or bf? For most of us, our 1st relationship will always be ended up broken in the sense that our relationship with our lst bf or gf won't last forever. I seldom see a person married off to his or her 1st partner. Thus the 1st relationship is an experience for us to know more about the opposite sex. Do you remember earning your 1st $1000? Yes, I felt very elated when I gotten my 1st pay when I was younger.

Thus, we can say that doing a certain thing for the 1st time is a stepping stone to greater achievement. When we were babies, we 1st learn to walk and after which we all learn to run... After sometime we learn to cycle, swim, rollerblade,etc. So here we can see that without doing something new for the 1st time, there will never be the 2nd, 3rd,4th,so on and so for.

I have many close friends who had 1st make up with girls when they were just secondary school students. All of them said that they couldn't resist the temptation and thus went ahead with it. However for me, I feel that sex should be after marriage and keep the best for your future wife. Therefore till now I still wanna stay committed to my stand. Yes, it is true that what is there for a guy to lose out when making out with a girl? Nothing actually as long as the girl doesn't have STD, blackmail you publicly or to your friends when you become famous or gotten your baby in her womb... However, if you respect or love the girl, you will not use her body to fulfill your sexual lust.... Thus as gentlemen, we should not cheapen a girl but protect her from any harm. :)

On the final note, always remember your first victory but dun just stay on there. Move on to the next level and perform it well.

Had an eye opening day today.... It was my 1st time watching a baseball game live on the stadium....Lol.... t 1st it was exciting to watch..However due to its slow playing, some of my friends became bored n thus we went for an early dinner at a nearby restaurant.... :) Wow you know what, the potion there was about 2X the size of Singapore potion!! Very huge and fulfilling.... =9 American ppl are very generous!! However there is a negative point about them, their food are generally saltier that our local dishes... :(

It has been 3hours since my flight took off at 7.00am.... 3 long hours seem like a whole night to me especially I was stuck on my seat with two person sitting beside me sleeping like a pig!! lols.. 3 more hours of endurance to go before I will reach our first airport transit venue at Toyko- Nayita International Airport...Actually what it really amazed me is that the plane is travelling at a speed of 943km/h but it still needs a total of 6 hours to travel from Singapore to Japan. The earth is so big!! Right now we are flying over toward Manila... It is still a long way to go... lols... :)

Today went to "shao mu" with my family as today both of my parents are free.... We started from our 1st destination at Bukit Brown (near MacRitchie Reservoir) to "spring clean" my great-grandfather's tomb.... The graves there dated back as early as 1920s - 1940s.... That was even b4 the WWII in Singapore.... Wow, amazing...even right now, those graves still stand strong...
I am fascinated by all of the big bungalows beside or nearby the graveyards...Most of them are at 3 storey high.... 1 day, I gonna earn my way to live in that type of property!!

After visiting my great-grandpa, we went to our grandfather's grave at Lim Chu Kang...

Gotten a call from Jean Yip ytd....The caller said that they didn't provide complimentary permanent hair removal for guys... Only female customers.. I was a little disappointed actually.

I signed up for this free permanent hair removal after seeing their ad inside the newspaper...It is for the 1st 100 customers who sms to their hotline for their complimentary service... I always wanted to remove my facial hairs,( Lols, who dun want to be more handsome) which caused me look more mature.I smsed them and was lucky enough me get a complimentary removal service from them.... But too bad, guys aren't included this time... =(

The caller offered me a facial package for only $28... But on 2nd thought, I didn't take up the package as I feel that my facial skin are all right... :)

Sorry everyone for posting my this blog entry so so late...!!

I have been going through the lowest valley in my life currently and that is the reason why for the past few weeks I didn't have the mood to blog about my life... Really Sorry about this... But life have to move on and now I am getting better and better le..I believe that no matter what I go through in life, God will always turn my situation around... I just have to hold on tight in my belief and trust him for whatever things that are about to happen...

Hello guy, sorry now then I update my blog... This is because I am very busy for the past 2 weeks working part time, celebrating christmas at chc,going out with fwens,etc... Any here are a few photos to share with you all.... :)

Went to church for the candlelight service.... It was not really new to me as I had been with the church for the past few years and every years there will be candlelight celebration during this period of the season. Nonetheless, it is still very exciting for me!!! We get to sing many of the xmas carols and this remained me that Jesus was born for you and I so that our life can be change for the better..!! :D

My national service dazes

LOL... Saw some of these old photos from my com and I decided to share them with you all... They were taken during my national service time... It was like,emm, 2 years ago... Quite long ago but these 2 years of army experiences are still very fresh in my mind.... These memories are still very part of me....

To all my male students out there, be mentally prepare when you are going to serve the national service in a few years time.... It will be mentally tough but not physically tough at least to me... :) Cause it like 1 whole group of brothers suffer the hardship together.... This is what I call bonding...Anyw achieving 9min plus in 2.4km shouldn't be a problem when you go to army... However I agree, you all still have many years to go before enlisting for national service, so for the time being, enjoy school life!!! Trust me, studying is a lot more fun that serving army... :)

HEY EVAN, ENJOY YOUR HONEYMOON!!!

Anyw here is an update... Went out with my good uni friends last wednesday.... We had a drink ( or rather they had a drink) at a pub called The Clinic in Clarke Quay.... I hate to drink alcohol so I just sit there and watch them drink.... I hate the bitterness of the beer or liquor....

When I was young around 14 or 15, I used to thought that those people who drink alcohol are all "pia kie".. However when I get older, my thinking changes.... There are people who have the best of attitudes drink alcohol once in a while.... Eg)US president Barrack Obama... There are also people who have the most evil heart, that doesn't even touch liquor.... Eg) Adolf Hilter and Osama bin Laden.... It is all about your drink habits or lifestyle...

Anyw that night, it was the last chilling out session with my uni friends before my uni bestie, Evan, went to Australia to have a 2 months honeymoon with his gf, Victoria... Both Evan and Victoria are my best pals in class.... They are enganging soon and so during their ROM, they will invite me to become their witness... Lol... I had never been someone witness before, so I think it will be an eye opener for me... Whahahaha.... :D

We drank until 12.45am and after that I rushed off and took the last bus 166 to AMK....

Went to watched Michael Jackson " This is it" movie on monday with some of my cell group friends.... We went for the 9.30pm show at Tampines Mall..... Wow, didn't know the show ended so late, and by the time it finishes, it was close to 12 midnight. I had to share a cab with Catherine & Siak Hong to go home.... When I had alighted at Ang Mo Kio, which is the final stop, It was $20+ on the fare meter.... :( Midnight charges are crazy!!!

The movie is fantastic!!! It is so touching to see all the dancers and musicians performing their hearts out for MJ, for the future crowds that were failed to happen and for one another.... All in all, it is a great fusion between the old icon - MJ, and the newer ones which are all the musicians..... I really love the humble manner MJ protraited towards the crews and also the love he brought to the whole team.... He hugged everyone after the end of the rehearsal.... =D Not bad huh, he is very friendly... And also all the dancing, singing, lighting effects and costumes are really awesome....

Just came back home from the breakdancing workshop with "Last for One" at the esplanade.... For those who didn't know who are they, they are the "Battle of year 2005 international" world champion.... Pretty normal these few days....As usual going to school to teach....However out of these 5 weekdays, 2 days are exam day..... Which are Tues and Friday.... Didn't enjoy myself to the max as I didnt get to take over the classes that love me and I enjoyed myself the most.... :( But of course, I still treat all the classes with the same amount of love and care.... =)

Finally I have relief all the classes in the sch!!!! Ytd, I finally got to go to the last class in which I didn't go before, 4E3!!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!! =D

Anyw, Actually feel that something is missing in my life.... purpose in life?? yes... achievement in life?? yes..... Real happiness.... Yes, think this is the most important that I need to have now... :)

Wow, Lewis Hamilton won the F1 race clear cut!!! Actually I feel that this year's race is not as dramatic as last year F1 race.... Went Jamming with my cell group members ytd... We jammed for a solid 4hours!!! Vey fun as I get to try the drumming set and bass guitar on top of the electric guitar in which I normally play.... :)

3rd Day Celebration- 3rd Sept

My actual bday!! Gotten quite a lot of the bday presents from students n friends... =D

Went to sch to teach in the morning.... Quite fun as usual..... The 1st class I taught was 1N8.... Not bad, as they started to become more serious with their class works leh... :) 2nd class was 3N6....good also...enjoyed their class... =) 3rd class is 4T8,quite noisy in the beginning, but toward the middle of lesson, the class became quieter... (",)

After sch, we went to meet Jolynne and Cherie for birthday lunch....We had a simple meal at Kopitiam...Though simple, yet it is really meaningful to me.... Thanks Jolynne and Cherie for having a bday lunch w me!!!

After celebrating with Jolynne and Cherie, I rushed over to Kovan to meet Angel and Sabrina at 6pm..... We had a game of pool.... =) I am happy that after a long while without playing pool, I started to get the hang of it again...hahaha... Thanks Angel & Sabrina for the pool session....!!

I played until 7.20pm before rushing off to Dhoby Ghaut to meet my beloved cell group members!!! We had our dinner at the chicken rice stall near Parklane shopping mall... After feasting with chicken rice, we went on to have the 豆浆油条 at the famous Rochor Beancurd beside it...hahaha...Yummy.... =9 To wrap up the celebration for the day, we went on to have another match of pool... But of course this time round is with my cell group members.... =) Yes I love you guys, E345 & N253!!

Today is quite normal.... Went to school as usual to teach.... And school was fun.... Some of students in 1N8 knew my birthady was tmr and thus they asked me," Cher, your bday is tmr right??" I replied yes and gave them a smile.... hahaha... They made me feel I am appreciated as they really remember my birthday.... Of course there were other students in other classes that also remember my birthday.... :)

I gotten my 1st present from Jessie.... Wow...it is a huge paper stars that contain 24 mini stars in it.... Those 24 mini stars are really very small....Due to their small sizes,it is very hard to fold the papers into those paper stars!! My heart was really shaken when I thought of how much efforts n time she had to go through to make those 24 stars!!!

At night, went to meet Evan and his gf Victoria.... Both of them are my very good university classmates and we had a fun time joking while having our dinner @ a jap restaurant in Cineleisure....They treated me... Today is Teachers' Day!!! Didn't went to school as today is a public hoilday... Had I great rest at home....You know what!!?? I woke up at 11.30am... Wow...that is pretty late for me as I have been trained to wake up early.... However of course, I really recharged my body with enough sleep....No More lackadaisical motion.... =)

Anyw met up with 2 of my besties (Keegan and Hui Hui) for dinner.... Swensens at Junction 8..... We have known other another since our sec sch days and they are like my real bro & sis to me....!! :)

They celebrated my early birthday with me... And of course Hui Hui treated me Swensens meal....!! Yes, it is so sweet of you to bless me with a meal "Jie", I am touched.... Thanks alot for your birthday treat... =)

I have been counting down to my birthday....Still looking forward to it, through it means I grow older by 1 yr old... :( Why I love birthday so much is because this is one of the special day that your friends n family delicate this day for you... You will feel love and been cared about..
It is also a test of how popular you are amount the circle of people that you are in connect with...An example of it is the amount of sms birthday greeting you will receive during that day and also no of presents....

I used to think that popularity is not important, but I was wrong.... High IQ + EQ = power.... Think about this, if US president Barrack Obama is not popular amount the American youth, do you think he will get a large amount of vows during the election? hahaha..... :)

Anyw back to the topic, this year, I will wanna do well in my studies, set up an online business and also have a bigger impact with my friends, families and students....

For these few weeks, we had been singing this prase song at church....This song is called "Sing Sing Sing..." by Chris Tomlin.... Yes it is a very catchy song...haha

This week quite busy cause still working part time as a temperature screener in TTSH....Though a number of H1N1 patients had been treated here, we need no fear as the hospital is well prepared for this.... Of course, I must do my part also in keeping myself clean all the time... :)

Now still waiting for a miracle that YSS will call me up and ask me to teach their students again for 1 or 2 terms....However by this week if there still no call from the school, I will go to Seng Kang Sec instead and write down the letter of agreement to teach the sch for term 3 and 4.... I had started sch for around 1 week plus leh.... for the past 1 week, I had been learning about Advertising... How to advertise a product? How to create a great advertisement campaign? What are the pros and cons of diff advertising medias like mag,newspaper,TV,radio,billboard...etc....

I had learned so much from my lecturer, Dr Matt Hammiton.... He is funny and friendly..... (Ya btw, all my lecturers are from America....) They are all a bunch of power packed speaker!!....Since day 1, I have learned so much about Mass Communication.... :D

I am going to teach Seng Kang Sec lower sec students for term 3 and term 4.... So happy that I finally get a fulfilling job offer.....(something I felt having real joy in doing it.)It is not about how much money I can make, but rather it is about how much younger batch of teenage life I can impact and change them in the area of knowledge.

I will be signing the agreement on 1st week of June... Will be teaching the students from July to end of Nov ba....But of course, in my heart I will still be praying for a long term assgnment in the 1st sch I even taught, Yishun Sec... hahaha...Yeah, still the best to me... :D

Anyw, Yeah Liverpool won the match against Newcastle... Man United better watch up!!! haha...

As the days goes by, day by day, I felt as if I lost the purpose of life... :( It was as if I am passing through life wasting every moment of it away....Every morning as I wake up, I will be thinking why does things didn't worked up the way I want them to be..... And every night I will be reflecting on my day that day and how much of my spare time is been wasted doing nothing or something not important... Man, I DON"T WANNA WASTE ME LIFE AWAY.....!!

I am no longer young...24 this year...(OMG, I have to remind myself I am an adult leh...) :( there is still so much things I wanna acheive before I hit 28 years old.... i wanna be a broadcaster, part-time model, great dancer, powerful singer,earn lots of $ and of course have a beautiful gf... Ya, I have very high goals for myself....Cause I dun want my life to be like what the rest of the people are.... I don't want to be just working hard to earn fixed income of $...But I wanna work smart to earn Multiplication of income... :)

My life is short, if wanna try things out, do it NOW!!!!! I would rather fail then not trying at all.... Even if at 1st I failed, I will make sure I will complete it the best that I can as I dun wanna stop halfway, since I started it leh.....

Ada: Through you didn't do well in your informal letter writing common test, dun give out....learn from your mistakes and improve on it for the upcoming Mid-year exam... :P

Man, I really fall in love with teaching...It is fun but very stressful.... If you did not teach well, the students will not respect you and the parents will complain to the school. However if you teaches well, the students will like you and start to share with you more of their lifes and invite you to join them at their class outings etc....Fruitful interaction and impartation of knowledge are the keys to success in teaching.

Thinking of transfer my course to part time course at night. So that I can work in the day.... Financially I am very tight.... Of course my dream job is now teaching...It is more than making money. It is about moulding the next batch of students....Make friends with them and they will treat you like their elder brother and will learn so much from you....hahaha...

So far quite a lot of schools called me up. Unity Sec asked me to be their PE teacher but in the end turned down.... :( Worked 1 day relief at 1st Toa Payoh Sec, but dun find it fulfilling as it is only a day...Dunman Sec and some other schs put me on their waiting lists....

Thus God, I pray that you will blessed me with a teaching assignment soon. It will be a long term one about 2 to 3 months of teaching.... Getting assignments from YSS again will a dream come true for me....!!!LOL...Simply love the students over there...God I trust in you...!!! =)

I had tiring day today... Wake up at 6.46am and rush my way to Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School for my tour facilitator work. For my job, I will be like a tour guide, guiding the children on the plants and insects at the Botanic Garden. It was a much more easier job than a teacher as all you need to do is to make sure you entertain the children and guide them along the way. For yesterday and today, I was in charge of 1/3 of 2 classes each, 3G-race & 3D-iligence respectively.

When we reached the Bontanic Garden, I immediately took the children around the place. I took them to the Palm Court,Ginger garden,Visitor Center,Symphony Lake and the mini rainforest. It was quite a fun assignment. :) The students were very cute as all the groups I took are only primary 3. It was so funny that almost all the girls love to crowd around me whereas the boys love to wonder off and play among themselves....Lols..

Alone the way, I got interviewed by "Straits Times Online Razor TV". I actually got a shocked when the female interviewer approached me. But of course, I was gladly interviewed by her as I know that as a mass communication student, broadcasting is 1 of the aspect that I must mastered, thus I must feel comfortable talking in front of the camera. Anyw...Yes, I love to be seen on the TV doing broadcasting!!!! :D

Interviewer: What do you like about the Bontanic Garden?
JQ: The plants.... This is a good place to relax myself as so many beautiful plants around.
Interviewer: So what will you be teaching your students?
JQ: I will show them around the place and introduce them some of the plants and insects here.
Interviewer: Would you come here and "Par Toh" (dating)?
JQ- Of course No!! I would prefer to bring my girl to shopping malls as it is where the entertainments are....
Interviewer: Do you know that the Bontanic Garden is celebration its 150years anniversary?
JQ: oh I don't know... But never mind, now then I know....haha...

Went to meet Sok Ping & Chu Hong at Novena United Square before going to service at expo... They also have their church service later, thus I only went to meet them up for a while.... These 2 stupid girls jio me to go Toysrus and see all the toys...!!!OMG....lols... jkjk.... :D Not bad huh,Shopping at Toysrus is very fun actually,cause you get to see all kind of interesting toys.

Just finished my relief teaching asignments for Yishun Secondary School..... It was actually not a complete term with them but rather there is another relief teacher who can teach the classes for a much longer period (until the end of this year). Thus the school has decided that they have to dismiss me who can only teach until the end of April the most due to restarting of school.... :(

Anyway I really have so much fun teaching the student English and Literature. I taught 2 Sec 1N classes English, 2 Sec 1E Literature and 2 Sec 2N Literature.....Thus if you add them all up, I am teaching 6 classes in total....!!! Actually that is what you will get in a NIE trained teacher full load teaching....However for me, I am not a NIE trained teacher so in the beginning I am quite stress up. I have to plan on my own what to teach the students....

What homework must I give to them? which teaching method must I used in order that all of the students will learn something out of the class? How can I make the lesson more interesting as that the students will not go out of the hand....etc...And of course most importantly, how to be a likable and respectful teacher?

Of course I am quite upset about this cause I suppose to teach until end of April, but right now I am "jobless"...... :( I dun wanna wasting my 1 month holiday doing nothing and I am really in need of money to pay off my credit card credit and bill etc....Plus building fund haven pay off yet.... God please bless me with a new assignment asap....!!! I wanna teach again...!! It is a real joy to see the students benefit from your teaching and how they really wanna make friends who you...

Anyw, though I taught the students for only 4 days, I get to know a few of them more in person..... =)

In Life, when we grow up, we will have to work in order to support ourselves...Mum n Dad won't be giving us $ all the time... But would it be wasting our life away running after money all the time,exchanging our time in order to get a fixed pay salary....?? I will NEVER go after a fixed paid income job....I want money to work for me and the other way round...Investment??setting up a biz?? ya... I dun mind taking a risk as long as it is all worth to try... :)

yeah...In short, I hate to see myself doing what many other people are doing....(working till old going after money without a better reason n purpose for working hard....) :D

Oh yeah...Gonna start schooling soon... :)

The date 5th Jan 2009 will a new beginning for me...Finally I am able to touch book again after 2 years of inactiveness....!!! I love going back to sch again...It makes me feel that I am younger once again...I really miss my Poly days... :(

Yeah,I will be studying Degree in Mass Communication @ MDIS for 2 years starting 2009. At 1st I wanna go for UNISIM,but the cost will be more expensive and their sch term will only start next sep....So in order not to waste time, I go for MDIS instead...

Reporter/Editor/Newcaster/DJ/Boardcaster/Writer are some of the career I can go after when I grad...It will never be easy as the market in Singapore is super small...but for now,I will just study hard n be the top 5% in my course.....I believe that God will take care of all my need including career....hahaha... :D

Ytd,had a great time fellowshipping w Mac,Nel,Bernard n Ting Ting after Bible Study...We went around Clarke Quay and passed by a no of clubs & pubs....Night life in Clarke Quay is so happening...I can imagine that when I start schooling,my classmates will jio me go clubbing w them...It will be fun to club when it is with a group of good friends...I am not a nerd who just study all the time and have no idea how to interact w different type of people... Oh yeah... :D

After that,we went home...

hey guys,
Saw this video around 2months back during one of my church service...It was actually our dear Pastor Kong birthday on that day and our church had specially made a Thankgiving video for him...The song is very touching...!!! :)

It said in the chorus," You are my hero...A knight in shining armour...A warrior of God's grace..."

Ya,indeed it takes a whole lots of love,sacifice,leadership,respect and direction for someone to call you a hero...He had given his whole life for this church since day 1....wow...

I really wanna learn so much from him....How to impact people lives so much that their life are totally changed for the better....

I imagined in 10 yrs time,a group of people that I have impacted, created a thankgiving video,with a self composed song, specially just for my bithday....LOL... I will be so touched.... :D

Had a great talk with her on phone for a while today...It has been such a long time talking to her in such a casual manner...Wanna to ask her for a movie but too bad she didn't want....No point forcing her lah...I have been trying for a yr leh n everything is still the same...No feeling for me really means no feeling... :(

Woke up around 8.30am and was not in a good mood to go to work... :( Just felt v sian going to work.... MAN I really misses school!!!! I wanna study again... :)

Left my house @ 9.30am and rush to my office @ Queentown....Today I had quite a great harvest...My job is called data collector....In which I will go to all the company in an area and ask their company cards from them.... each name card I collected I will get $0.50.

So today I gotten 93 cards...

commission = 93*$0.50=$46.50
basic =$30
transport allowance =$5
=$81.50 for 7hours

(not bad right??)
